Breast Cancer Month

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month internationally. In NZ, there are lots of ways to get involved and help the eight women that are diagnosed with breast cancer every day.

The Foundation's key October properties include:

- Pink Star Walks in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch - naming rights sponsor Estee Lauder Companies

- The Pink Ribbon Appeal which hits the streets mid October to raise funds from the public for the NZBCF's education, research and support programmes.

- Pink Ribbon Products. The NZBCF licences the use of its trademarked pink ribbon to aligned partner companies.

- Pink For A Day. Where organisations dress in pink and donate proceeds from workplace events to the NZBCF.

Partner companies help to promote breast health messages and raise funds over October:

Farmers has been supporting Breast Cancer Month in October for a number of years now.  This year, Farmers have sold the NZBCF Boobead keyring instore, placed education posters through their changing rooms and donated $1 from every Caprice bra sold during the month of October.
